UC Davis has the
largest concentration of aquaculture
research and teaching in the UC system.
UC Davis does not offer a degree in
aquaculture, but students take an
aquaculture option on the various
departments such as Animal Science or
Biological and Agricultural Engineering.

Biology and Aquaculture
(CABA)
CABA: A multidisciplinary
program of aquaculture and aquatic
science focusing on the utilization and
preservation of California's living
aquatic resources. It is a suggested
first stop to acquire information about
the various academic programs and
aquatic facilities available through UC
Davis.
UC Davis also offers
classes and operates the Bodega Marine
Laboratory (BML) located near
Bodega Bay on the Pacific coast North of
San Francisco.

California State
University, Humboldt, located in Arcata,
California offers a full range of
courses in freshwater and marine
fisheries, and aquaculture. BS and MS
degrees are offered.
California State
Polytechnic University at Pomona
The Center for
Regenerative Studies located at Pomona
is a university-based setting for
education, demonstration and research in
regenerative technologies-the collective
means of using solar energy, reusing
water, maintaining the fertility of the
soils, growing a variety of foods
without pesticides or chemical
fertilizers, recycling wastes, and
providing shelter compatible with
existing environments.
